Everlove Baptist Church Phase-1
Located in Noeun-dong, Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, the Neulsarang Church – Noeun Campus project reimagines urban religious architecture reinterpreted with a contemporary perspective. Set within a mixed-use residential area, this new construction of over 32,000 m² functions as a place of worship, education, gathering, and community life. Conceived as both a spatial and spiritual landmark, the building balances monumental presence with urban integration through bold structural and aesthetic choices.

A Layered Church
The church is divided into three distinct layers: first, a base of exposed white concrete, rooted in the site while defining every point of entry. A middle body clad in metal and ceramic, bringing rhythm and material contrast to the façade, an elevated crown of stone and glass that amplifies the tower’s visual prominence and symbolic reach. The building includes three basement levels and eight floors above ground, supporting a full range of uses, including liturgical, educational, administrative, and technical programs
Between Faith & Life
Surrounded by a park, a school, a hospital, and major roadways, the site finds itself in the midst of a dense urban network. Shaped by the site's topographical variations, the architecture ensures full accessibility for all users while organizing a clear hierarchy between pedestrian movement, vehicular flow, and emergency access. The church opens generously toward the city, activating its edge as a space for community life.
Sacred & Sustainable
Designed to meet Level 4 environmental standards, the project places sustainability at the heart of its design approach. It includes the installation of photovoltaic panels on the roof, as well as a stormwater management system. Vegetation is integrated at multiple levels, including façades, rooftops, and interior patios. A thermal storage tank is included to optimize heating and cooling systems. Finally, as night falls, a programmable LED lighting system highlights the architectural silhouette of the building and enhances its presence within the urban landscape.
A Living Faith & City
More than just a place of worship, the Neulsarang Noeun Campus is conceived as a civic platform—an inclusive environment where faith, education, culture, and social engagement converge. Its architecture combines spiritual symbolism with civic purpose, resulting in a building that adapts to its community and maintains an ongoing dialogue with the city.
