K's Unnam-dong House New Construction
This residential project embraces a gentle approach to housing, aiming to create spaces where architecture actively supports the physical and mental well-being of its inhabitants. Located in Unnam-dong, in the Jung-gu district of Incheon, the house is nestled on a gently sloping site at the foot of Mount Baegun.
The location offers both a rich natural environment and a distinctive topography. The project seeks to unify architecture and nature, while thoughtfully anticipating future urban transformations.

Site Integration & Spatial Strategy
The design of the residences is based on a careful analysis of the site, characterized by varied slopes, a less favorable northern orientation, and a natural environment worth preserving. The houses are positioned to blend seamlessly with the terrain. Single-story homes are placed in the lower areas, while two-story houses occupy the higher parts of the site. The overall layout is defined by low-pitched roofs and a fluid organization, promoting a discreet and coherent integration into the landscape.
Comfort by Design
This project offers single- and two-story homes designed to follow the natural slope of the land, support family life, and adapt to evolving ways of living. Each dwelling is conceived to promote spatial clarity, high-quality natural light, and a strong sense of privacy.
Breathing Architecture
The residential complex follows a restrained bioclimatic approach, guided by the principles of passive architecture. The building envelope is optimized through continuous insulation and controlled airtightness, ensuring high thermal performance. Interior layouts are designed to provide thermal comfort throughout the seasons. Openings are carefully oriented and precisely sized to capture solar gains in winter and promote natural ventilation in summer.
Healing through architecture
This project offers an alternative to conventional housing models, embracing a human-scale approach rooted in place and daily life. Its discreet layout, resource-efficient design, and spatial clarity respond to the needs of changing territories. Inspired by the principles of therapeutic architecture, it promotes well-being through a close dialogue between space, nature, and use. Each home contributes to a coherent whole where ecological intent and architectural care come together seamlessly.
