Designing through archi-therapy

The project is shaped by our Archi-Therapy approach, where architecture supports well-being and everyday balance. We propose a universal housing model that adapts to changing lifestyles, site conditions, and social needs. It is modular in form, built with dry construction methods, and enhanced by digital twin and IoT systems. Rather than treating housing as a static product, we approach it as a long-term, adaptable, and therapeutic environment, capable of supporting residents throughout different life stages, while strengthening social and urban resilience.

From Insight to Implementation

Our process follows four key phases. We begin with a careful reading of the site, considering its physical form, legal constraints, and social context. We then define a program that responds to new ways of living and diverse user needs. Finally, we translate this into a solid, buildable design that balances technical performance with economic feasibility. With this method it allows us to innovate with precision while staying grounded in reality.

Responding to a Changing Society

Our proposal builds on the 30 guiding questions of the competition. We address key issues such as population aging, new family structures, and the need for resilient design in times of climate crisis. The project also explores how housing can stay open to the city, flexible in its layout, and diverse in use. Rather than offering a single fixed answer, we imagine a system that can evolve over time modular, adaptable, and shaped with the people who live in it.

Building for the Next Century

This project reflects our ongoing work at Forum D&P around housing, well-being, and social architecture. It draws on our experience in public housing and urban regeneration, but also on our core belief. Architecture should support life in all its forms. With this proposal, we aim to create a model that is inclusive, adaptable, and ready for the future, a home that can last for the next century.
