WM Convention-Phase1

A large-scale wedding venue demands more than decorative presence. It requires spatial clarity, material precision, and seamless operational coordination. Located in Bupyeong, Incheon, this project spans over 11,000 m² across four floors. From concept to completion, it was shaped by a consistent pursuit of architectural coherence and executional precision.

From Floor Plan to Function

The program includes large-scale banquet halls, ceremony rooms, reception lounges, and support facilities distributed across 5 levels. Each floor is organized to accommodate distinct functions: ceremonial gatherings, guest reception, dining services, and backstage operations. As a hybrid between a neighborhood service facility and a cultural venue, the building required detailed coordination of design, construction, and operational flow to ensure spatial coherence and user efficiency.

Precision Through Process

Each space was supervised with attention to execution sequencing and material integration. On the 3rd floor wedding hall, curved ceiling edges, circular columns and indirect lighting required precise alignment between drywall structures, recessed lighting fixtures, and acoustic finishes. Each element blends into the space, yet carries a specific architectural role.

A Framework of Trust and Control

The ceiling was conceived as the main spatial device of the event hall, bringing together lighting and acoustics through a centralised ceiling system. Suspended lighting tracks, embedded spotlights, and recessed acoustic panels were precisely integrated to align with the central dining layout. The system defines the room’s identity while maintaining visual clarity and spatial rhythm. Every technical adjustment was calibrated to preserve this coherence.

Clarity and Integrity

The project was completed after a detailed inspection of all floors. Each space was designed for maximum functional and spatial efficiency. Public artworks, stone flooring, and lighting were carefully installed and adjusted. Marble finishes and lighting tones were selected to create the intended atmosphere. The result is a coherent, finely executed environment that meets both aesthetic and operational expectations.
